Yet another gob smacking aquascape can't wait to see what fish you put in them

I have ponds with gold fish and they never touch the plants. Only the koi fish do that in my other pond, but still not a lot and only some specific plants.

I just bought one of these for 4 bucks and I gotta say I dislike the species. It seemed like they dont get along with others trying to bite them, but I realized that they just indiscriminately react to anything that moves.

Ottos for me are just decoration, they never get to work. Best cleaner is common pleco, every few months i take him back to the store to get smaller one, they clean every type of algae very fast. But currently i have amano shrimp and bristlenose pleco. Combined they are pretty good, not as good as a common pleco, but they dont get huge.

You make cleaning the lily roots look so easy! It took me forever and I had a real mess! How do you deal with the roots converti g and shedding the slimy outer layer in your tanks? Do ottos eat it or do you strip the slime by hand?

I really like your videos and the information you share, but unfortunately no matter which one of them i watch i really dont like your composition, always crowded too much lines and elements... well it's a matter of personal taste i guess, but keep up with the videos and always do what you enjoy ;)

I didn't see anyone commenting about this, so: houseplants! The one in the shellfish tank looks like a china doll plant (Radermachera sinica). I had one years ago, but it could not withstand direct sunlight, and I had no better spot for it at the time, so it died. Happy to see yours growing so well :) And the leaf you thought might be a monstera among the pothos is indeed a monstera. Monstera leaves are not always split; a young specimen or one growing under low light will only grow smaller, intact leaves. Also I 100% get what you mean with fish socializing together. The absolute best part of caring for an aquarium for me is seeing my cories interact with each other <3

When youre trimming your plants, how come your bottom sections dont deteriorate? Mine all get algae covered and dont look lush anymore before the cut line.

The reason your shrimp breeding success hasn't been great is because your not allowing the tanks to mature enough. When you scape a tank ideally you need to let it mature for at least 8 to 10 weeks before adding the shrimp and never apart from the front clean the algea off the glass or surfaces as the babies need that biofil. To survive.

My challenge to you is to explore the negative space.

Would be cool to see each tank done using 3 different methods. Thinks like canister vs sponge vs hang on back filters. Expensive light vs cheap light vs diy. Compost vs aqua soil vs sand. Things along those lines.

Hi, this is so inspiring. I think you are the perfect person to help me with my betta, please. His fins are extremely big and he is already a little old and has a lot of difficulties to swim and carry that weight. I have seen some people trimming their fins. Is that really ok to do for them? I don't like the idea at all, but I feel that it would be so good for him. Please give me your opinion.

Did you just use regular tap water? And do you use tap water when you fill up the tank with water loss overtime?

I think it would be cool to do each tank as a separate regional tank. I.e., Asian, African, and South American fish.
